Open/Women's Championships
to call Disney World property home |

The United States Bowling Congress
announced it will hold 13 events - seven Open Championships and six
Women's Championships - from 2011 through 2029 in a privately-funded
bowling center on land being made available at Disney's Wide World of
Sports complex in Osceola County, Fla.
The agreement begins with the 2011 Open Championships. The Open will
be held every three years after that through 2029. The first Women's
Championships will be in 2013 and held every three years through 2028.

USBC Board votes to
pursue moving headquarters to Texas.
The United States Bowling Congress Board of Directors has given
approval to start negotiations with all parties involved to relocate
the organization's headquarters to Arlington, Texas.

Reno to host 2009, 2010 USBC Conventions
Events will be held
both years at the Reno Events Center adjacent to the National Bowling
Stadium. The 2009 festivities will be held April 29-May 2 while the
2010 Convention/Annual Meeting is slated for April 28-May 1. Other
cities considered were Minneapolis and Portland, Ore.

/ Non-Acceptable Ball Cleaners
Here is a list of acceptable and not acceptable ball cleaners and
polishes. The determination of "acceptable use" is, the
product must not soften the ball surface. Acceptable cleaners are
products meant to clean the ball surface.
